Optical Image Technology, Inc. Reports Profitable 2003
January 6, 2004 – State College, Pa. – Optical Image Technology, Inc. (OIT), developers of the award winning DocFinity® Suite of Electronic Document Management Products, is proud to report a profit in the 2003 fiscal year. This achievement, in trying economic conditions, also marks another contiguous year of profitability for the company.
2003 represented a 22 percent increase in gross sales, a 32 percent increase in staff and the establishment of three satellite offices in Richmond, Va., Pittsburgh, Pa. and Charlotte, N.C. The year was also characterized by significant developmental enhancements to OIT’s DocFinity Suite of Products, including a major code rewrite in the DocFinity IntraVIEWER® Web client to reflect emerging Web service and API (Application Programming Interface) technology.
Scott Buchart, President and CEO of OIT, remarks, “2003 was a very challenging year for all IT companies as organizations continued to face economic hardships. We’re very proud of our success this year and are looking forward to 2004 being our best year yet.”
Plans for 2004 include establishing satellite offices in Philadelphia, Pa. and Atlanta, Ga., continuing to develop the DocFinity Suite in Web service technology and increasing market presence in the insurance, financial services, higher education, healthcare, pharmaceutical, government and manufacturing industries.
