OIT Reports 2005 as Profitable Year
The company’s staff and its products expand as OIT moves into its 20th year
STATE COLLEGE , Pa - January 18, 2006 - Optical Image Technology, Inc. (OIT), developers of the award-winning DocFinity® Suite of document management software, is proud to report another consecutive profitable year. During 2005, the company has grown significantly and is moving into its 20th year in 2006 with many new initiatives and goals.
As a major milestone, OIT released a new version of its DocFinity software in July of 2005, DocFinity Version 9. The new version incorporated many product upgrades and new products that increased the overall functionality, capability and efficiency of the product suite. This major version will be furthered by yet another major release anticipated for late 2006; OIT plans to release Version 10 of DocFinity during its 20th year to bring the product suite to yet another level of increased capabilities.
Once again, sales increased significantly over prior years during 2005. OIT’s staff increased by 10% during the year and the company expanded within its new facilities to accommodate steady and continued growth. The company’s expansions included adding a new department to reflect OIT’s increase in professional services, training and other areas relating to the software implementation.
OIT was recognized throughout 2005 with several different awards for their software and staff. One major award was the Process Innovation Award from Kinetic Information LLC and IMERGE Consulting. This first-place award was given to OIT and BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina , (an independent licensee of the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association) for their use of DocFinity. Members of OIT’s management team were also selected for awards based on their personal accomplishments and many were also published in books and industry magazines relating to business technology and management. In addition, OITUK, the company’s partner in the United Kingdom , received a major national award for a healthcare solution that incorporated OIT’s DocFinity products.
OIT’s plans for 2006 include increasing their market presence in the many industries in which they serve. The company will continue to add new products and create new versions of the current software with the goal of writing the suite’s server architecture in J2EE with a thin client user interface. These major changes to the software will increase the products’ abilities to be implemented at an enterprise level.
“For two decades we have been meeting customer needs through innovative product design and quality services.
