Two State College Organizations Finalists for National ACE and I-Cubed Awards
OIT and Penn State Recognized for Document Management Achievements with DocFinity®
STATE COLLEGE, PA – February 13, 2008 – Optical Image Technology, Inc. (OIT), creator of the DocFinity suite of integrated workflow and document management software, announces that OIT and Administrative Information Services (AIS) of The Pennsylvania State University have been selected as finalists for two national award competitions for their work in document management. Integrated Solutions magazine has selected Penn State as one of three finalists for their annual I-Cubed Award competition in recognition of their innovative centralized implementation of DocFinity document management software, which serves diverse needs of its Pennsylvania campuses. ECM Connection selected OIT as a national finalist for their 2008 ACE Award in the banking and finance category for their product line and its contributions to the insurance industry.
The annual Integrated Solutions magazine’s I-Cubed Award recognizes an end user that has implemented an outstanding document and content management technology solution. Entries are judged based on the level of innovation, how well the solution integrates with complementary technologies, and its potential to inspire others.
ECM Connection’s ACE Awards recognize vendors who are making extra efforts to promote the education and adoption of ECM technologies within specific markets beyond their overall horizontal offerings. Vendors must demonstrate excellence in their product Appeal, Content, and Education. They are judged by the degree to which they offer an innovative, feature-rich product and/or product line; valuable, information-rich resources that go beyond promotion of the vendor’s own products and services; and outstanding outreach programs and services, including training, technical support, consulting services, user conferences, and more.
Ron Prichard, President of Optical Image Technology, states, “We are thrilled to be chosen again as a national finalist for the 2008 ACE awards. We also appreciate Integrated Solutions’ recognition of Penn State’s Administrative Information Services for the success of their centralized document management delivery system to meet the needs of their campuses throughout Pennsylvania. Shelley Butler’s leadership in this initiative is exemplary, and is deserving of recognition. The team at AIS is revolutionizing student services and efficiency campus-wide at Penn State. Shelley’s vision has played a key role in their success.”
Integrated Solutions magazine and ECM Connection will announce the winners of their awards at a ceremony in the Boston Convention Center during the AIIM Exposition & Conference on Wednesday, March 5. The I-Cubed Award winner will be selected by a panel of judges from the enterprise content management (ECM) industry. The ECM ACE Award decision will be based on panel recommendations combined with a public vote. Members of the public can cast their votes online through February 18 on the ECM Connection website at www.ecmconnection.org.
