OIT Software Solutions Selected by Compaq Customer Service
STATE COLLEGE, PA: Optical Image Technology Inc.'s (OIT) e-Solutions Division announced today that Compaq Computer Corporation, a Fortune 100 company and the largest supplier of computing systems in the world, selected OIT's "Total e-Solution for Document Management" to power its new e-based Electronic Document Management System (EDMS).
The Houston-based Compaq will utilize OIT solutions in its Customer Services division and, eventually, will use the modules to archive and retrieve Services Documentation. OIT software will also allow secure access to registered users in branch offices via the Internet. One advantage of OIT software is the ability to manage many document formats such as MS Office Products and ADOBE PDF files and to allow for easy viewing of the large files.
