OIT Places First in Kinetic Information’s Process Innovation Awards

Kinetic Information, a research and professional services firm that performs business consulting on technology matters, created the Process Innovation Awards in 1996 to honor superior applications for their business effectiveness. This year’s awards were presented to companies that have implemented outstanding technological partnerships.

Winners were selected based on process improvements that led to gains in at least one of these areas: productivity, profitability, ability to adapt to market conditions, or competitive standing/market share. An independent panel of industry analysts that included Michael Bragen of BMC\research, Bob Larrivee of IMERGE Consulting, and John Parker of Kinetic Information performed this year’s judging.

As a result of the system, Harleysville Insurance has reduced costs, reduced the dependency of the business on paper, improved the processing within its Personal Lines Policy Processing and Personal Lines Underwriting Units, and eliminated the use of paper and fiche files for storing policy files and other information.
