Kinetic Information Recognizes OIT Client with 'Process Innovation' Award

STATE COLLEGE, PA: Kinetic Information, a world-class research and professional services firm, has recognized Optical Image Technology, Inc. (OIT) and OIT partner, Doxentric, with a 2000 Process Innovation Award for their part in developing technology solutions for Carter-Wallace, a leading Pharmaceutical/Consumer Products concern. This is the second Process Innovation Award to honor an OIT client.

"The prize is really about Carter-Wallace," said Scott Buchart, President of Optical Image Technology, Inc. "We, of course, are proud that our software is serving in such an impressive installation that is re-envisioning how critical workplace missions can be accomplished through EDMS."

Carter-Wallace was selected as the first-place winner in the Manufacturing category. According to officials at Kinetic Information, it was an extremely competitive category, but the Carter-Wallace system met the criteria of the award which seeks to recognize revolutionary technology solutions. The Carter-Wallace deployment includes a pioneering content and process management system that utilizes e-Signature and electronic workflow technology in its Internal Procedures Division. The process is compliant with FDA's stringent requirements on such systems.

Judges for the event were selected from a list of experts in the Information Management industry, including: Lee Copeland, Computerworld; Tom Elliott, Strategy Analytics; Julie Fraser, Industry Directions; Arthur Gingrande, IMERGE Consulting; John Stenbeck, Pareto Principals and Amy Wohl, Wohl Associates.

Kinetic Information established the Process Innovation award in 1996 to honor superior applications for their business effectiveness. The awards ceremony was held at eSolutions World Conference and Expo, Sept. 11, 2000 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia, PA.
