OIT Announces Advancements in Worldwide Workflow Technologies

STATE COLLEGE, PA: Optical Image Technology, Inc. (OIT), a leader in Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS), announces refinements to its award winning Total Solution for Document/Content Management that will provide users with improved functionality, making worldwide access of workflows via IntraVIEWER even better than before.

The new version has been designed to streamline collaboration and accelerate the completion of critical business tasks. The Workflow component of IntraVIEWER offers users a much faster way to automatically route scanned documents, COLD-ERM reports and PC files in multi company or multi department environments.

Beginning with OIT's March release of its software, OptiFLOW together with IntraVIEWER, which is powered by Allaire's ColdFusion web application server, will include enhanced capabilities, allowing for exceptional worldwide processing of workflows.

"Workflow is by no means new to IntraVIEWER. However, the tremendous improvements in effectiveness are pioneering," says OIT President, Scott Buchart. "Workflow in Version 3 of IntraVIEWER is far more sophisticated and presents users with better, faster, and friendlier task types."

OptiFLOW within IntraVIEWER will also include numerous task types, which are new to the workflow module. One of these task types consists of the ability to carry out "Run Exe" tasks. This allows users to interface with third party software programs while using OptiFLOW through IntraVIEWER.
