OIT Announces Email Integration Within Workflow Product

STATE COLLEGE, PA:  Optical Image Technology, Inc. (OIT), provider of highly acclaimed electronic document management software, has incorporated SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol) email integration within its workflow/process management product, OptiFLOW ™, to allow for the automatic distribution of job announcements via email.

Using the SMTP email integration, OptiFLOW's WorkFlow Server sends out three types of emails, which include new job notification messages, time elapsement warnings, and server warnings.  New job notification messages are sent to the user to whom each new job is assigned.  Time elapsement warnings are issued to warn someone that a job has become overdue.  Server warnings are issued for technical problems that occur during WorkFlow Server operations.

Along with these emails, links can be included in the email, which will allow a user to automatically open a queue and take appropriate jobs from WorkFlow.  One such link can be set to OIT's browser access module, IntraVIEWER®.  Activating this link instructs the WorkFlow Server to add a link to job notification messages that will open up IntraVIEWER, tell it to go to the user's queue and take out the appropriate job.
