Allows school districts to purchase cost-effective EDM Solutions through Technology Program

December 19, 2003 – State College, Pa., Dubois, Pa. – Optical Image Technology, Inc. (OIT) and Advanced Business Computing Services (ABCS) are proud to partner together to offer electronic document management solutions to school districts and other municipalities in Pennsylvania.

ABCS was recently selected by PEPPM, the Pennsylvania Cooperative Technology Purchasing Program, to distribute and support OIT’s award-winning DocFinity Suite of Products to organizations affiliated with the program. PEPPM offers purchasing contracts and prices to a variety of municipalities, including school districts, technical schools, nonpublic schools, private schools, public libraries, community colleges and educational service agencies. These organizations can in turn purchase technology solutions without submitting purchasing requests for bid.

ABCS’s president, Randy Lyle, comments, “The PEPPM program allows us to offer cost effective document management solutions to organizations throughout the state of Pennsylvania without having to go through the hassles of the bid process. In this manner, school districts and other municipalities are almost instantly enabled to start recognizing the benefits of electronic document management.”

The DocFinity Suite of Products, distributed through OIT reseller ABCS, allows school districts and other organizations to streamline their processes to increase efficiency and improve services to students, parents, faculty, staff and other administrative personnel. By electronically storing documents these organizations are also enabled to reduce operational costs related to file storage, production and maintenance.
