OIT Will Feature OptiFLOW e-SIG at AIIM

STATE COLLEGE, PA: Optical Image Technology, Inc. (OIT), the leading provider of EDMS and IDOM solutions, will showcase OIT's electronic signature enabling module, OptiFLOW e-SIG,at the AIIM 2001 Conference at the Javits Convention Center in New York April 30 to May 3 at Booth #1213.

Brought on by the obvious need for official electronic authorization, legislation has established the legality of the "e-Signature" - a verification process that is the equivalent of a paper and ink signature. Anticipating this need, OIT was a pioneer in developing a way to store and manage e-Signatures to lessen the chance of tampering.

OptiFLOW  e-SIG offers companies in various monitored industries compelling Electronic Document Management System (EDMS) solutions, secure electronic workflow, and encryption abilities that are compatible with facilities compliant with Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations.  OIT's OptiFLOW e-SIG works in conjunction with e-Powered Workflow to create a powerful tool for businesses involved in e-processes and other procedures, which call for electronic workflow and secure e-signature management.

"We can now complete a task in a few days that once took months," said one OIT customer, "But there is no loss of quality assurance, in fact there is an improvement in this area, as well."

OIT's Encryption Server is a key part of the OptiFLOW e-SIG module. It allows comments, such as "approved" or "rejected", to be applied to a file and enables secure storage of electronic signatures. Secure electronic signature storage is critical to achieving strict FDA standards.

The module can be modified to suit the EDMS needs of the particular company or organization.  "Our OptiFLOW e-SIG module is scalable enough and flexible enough to fit any document management need of any given operation," explains OIT President Scott Buchart.

Digital signatures are a key component for document management of the future and focal point of FDA regulations governing document management. With OIT's OptiFLOW e-SIG, digital signatures can be stored safely and securely. The software uses several methods to detect possible file tampering and also maintains a log of digital signatures that can be used for further review by government or internal regulators.
