Optical Image Technology Names New President

Founder Scott Buchart Hands Reins to Chief Operating Officer Ron Prichard

STATE COLLEGE, PA - April 24, 2007 - Scott Buchart, founder of Optical Image Technology (OIT) and its president since the company's inception in 1986, has announced he is handing the leadership of the company to its chief operating officer of thirteen years, Ron Prichard. The company's board of directors supports this change, a transition which has been carefully planned and in process since late 2006. The official handover will take effect on June 1, 2007, and Buchart will officially retire from the company on June 30, 2007.

Ron Prichard has been instrumental in shaping the company's aggressive growth and expansion plan during the past two years, and has managed the company's operations and contributed to its direction for more than a decade. His commitment to listening to customers and partnering with them to meet their needs has contributed significantly to the company's high customer retention rates, as well as the continual development of top-quality products and services. The company has seen record revenues during the past two years due to growing market needs for the company's workflow and document management technology.

Buchart, instrumental in the development of the original product line, has worked closely with Prichard to lead the company on an aggressive growth plan. Together they have almost doubled the company's staff during the past twenty-four months, resulting in a dramatic increase in specialized skills and services the company now offers. Working together for the past 13 years, Buchart and Prichard have led OIT on a healthy growth path. Prichard is poised to take OIT, a mature company at 21 years old, into the future with a very strong and committed executive team.

Buchart states, "Ron has been instrumental to the success of this company. He has had a vital role in determining the company's current and future directions, and has assembled a management team that is already successfully implementing the plans we have put in place to support and maintain the company's growth. OIT's development and direction have always been in response to customer needs. Ron is well-equipped with the vision, knowledge, experience, and attention to customers that position OIT for continued success." He adds, "Optical Image Technology is stronger than ever. I am leaving OIT with the utmost confidence in the company's continued success."

Mike Mizeur, President of Companion Capital Management and a member of OIT's Board of Directors, comments, "The Board of Directors is pleased that Ron will be assuming the role of President. This decision reflects the confidence we have in his leadership abilities, and the strong executive team OIT has in place to lead OIT into the future. Scott's accomplishments through the years are most admirable and we express our thanks for his years of service."

Prichard is an alumnus of Babson College in Wellesley, Massachusetts. Prior to joining OIT, he was a principal and officer of The Prichard Corporation, where he served as president from 1985 until 1992. He comments, "I have been fortunate to participate in the development of OIT's past and current vision, and I look forward to continuing to serve our current and future customers. We have an excellent team with diverse talents, and a product that is stronger than ever, with many exciting developments ahead of us in 2008 and beyond." Reminiscing about Buchart, he reflects, "I am proud to have been associated with Scott, whom I know as a man of vision and integrity. We share a sincere commitment to customers and employees. I look forward to continuing to lead the company with the highest of business and ethical standards, and making our vision for the future a reality."

Buchart brought global attention to OIT during his tenure, with customers and partners spanning five continents. He has been an active speaker internationally and was recently involved in other industry initiatives such as the planning committee for the national imaging association, AIIM. Scott is a published expert on workflow, document management technology, and business leadership. He is leaving the company to pursue other interests and to spend more time with his wife and children. They plan to remain in State College.
