Optical Image Technology, Inc. Celebrates Their 10-Year Partnership with OITUK Ltd.
STATE COLLEGE, Pa., WARWICKSHIRE, England – November 19, 2004 - Optical Image Technology, Inc. (OIT), a software company based in State College Pa., and OITUK Ltd., based in Nuneaton, England, celebrated the 10th anniversary of their partnership during a very successful user conference for OITUK Ltd.’s customers, in Warwickshire, England on November 4th and 5th.
The conference was held at the IBM UK Limited facility and was the perfect opportunity to celebrate an international partnership that began 10 years ago with their first meeting in York, Pa. Dozens of users attended the conference and had the chance to meet OIT’s President and CEO, Scott Buchart, and the COO, Ron Prichard.
“The success we have realized in UK markets with our DocFinity® software suite was very much reflected in the atmosphere surrounding this conference. The users we met expressed excitement about what they are accomplishing with the technology and hard evidence on ROI,” said Prichard.
OIT has partnered exclusively with OITUK in the United Kingdom for the past decade, and has been able to greatly expand their client base thanks to OITUK ‘s efforts. OITUK Ltd., a member of the Genus Group, has installed the software solutions at many sites in the United Kingdom. The Genus Group sells to over 60 countries, opening further opportunities for OITUK to develop the international market.
Vijay Magon, the Technical Director of OITUK, has been an integral part of the partnership since the very first meeting 10 years ago. “What is of particular value is the regular and frequent cross-Atlantic contact, on all aspects of the business, commercial and technical,” said Magon. “The relationship between OITUK and OIT extends beyond senior management in both organizations, and involves personnel engaged in all the operations.”
Throughout the 10-year partnership, both companies have had a strong team approach. OIT employees are often sent to OITUK client sites to help with installations and foster a closer relationship. OITUK also utilizes the American support staff for troubleshooting.
OITUK serves a variety of markets in the United Kingdom, with clients in healthcare organizations within the National Health Services, NHS, and local government councils. They also have high-profile clients such as Empire Recorded Music (EMI) and South Yorkshire Pensions Authority.
After a decade of success, OIT and OITUK have both been expanding their staff and client base. “The applications of our technology in the UK marketplace are quite impressive, and result directly from the investments both OIT and OITUK have committed to the partnership.
