Optical Image Technology Continues Strong Hiring Trend
Staff Added to Multiple Departments as Product Line is Further Enhanced
State College, PA -- May 30, 2007 -- Optical Image Technology, Inc. (OIT), developer of the DocFinity® suite of workflow and document management software, is pleased to announce the hiring of nine new employees since January 1, 2007. Elizabeth Gross, Chris Walter, Jason Myer, and Ed Adams have been hired for their expertise in technical writing and software development; Ricardo Rodriguez, Mike Douglass, Mark Stocku, Ray Patterson, and Doug Hall are supplementing the professional service and sales teams.
Elizabeth Gross, Ph.D., joined OIT as a technical writer in the documentation department to document software specifications. She earned both her masters and doctorate degrees in English from The Pennsylvania State University (PSU) while also teaching and working in the Digital Resources Center. Gross also holds a Bachelor of Arts in English, cum laude, from George Washington University.
Chris Walter, software developer, is focusing on DocFinity PowerIndexing enhancements and auxiliary development. Prior to joining OIT, Walter worked for the Central Dauphin School District in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, as a programmer analyst. Walter holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Sciences and Technology, with a minor in telecommunications, from The Pennsylvania State University.
Also joining OIT as a software developer, Jason Meyer brings valuable experience with all stages of the software lifecycle and Java development. Educated at The Pennsylvania State University, he earned a degree in computer science engineering with a minor in management information systems.
A graduate of PSU with a Bachelor of Science in Education, and with graduate work in instructional systems technology, Ed Adams joins OIT's development team as Technical Operations Manager, with experience in project planning, coordination and management, team training, and process improvement. Adams has successfully completed projects for insurance companies, management groups, and solutions providers. Adams was previously employed by Digital Solutions, Inc., based in Altoona, Pa.
Ricardo Rodriguez works for OIT's Professional Services team as an experienced implementation analyst, and is responsible for installing and upgrading DocFinity software at customer sites. Rodriguez holds an associate degree in computer science from the Instituto de Banca in Puerto Rico and is working towards his Bachelor of Science degree in information sciences & technology through The Pennsylvania State University. He received the Information Sciences & Technology Certificate from Penn State in 2006.
Holding a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Iowa and certification as a training manager from Langevin Learning Services, Michael Douglass serves as the DocFinity training specialist in OIT's Professional Services department. Prior to joining the company, he was employed by CRS, Inc., where he trained school district staff nationwide on the use of CRS' proprietary human resource software. Douglass also worked for Pizza Hut, Inc., for nearly thirty years in various capacities, from general manager to training coach.
Mark Stocku joins OIT's Professional Services department as a business analyst, bringing a wealth of knowledge and expertise from working in information technology for over 14 years within wholesale/distribution, government contracting, consulting, and Fortune 500 arenas. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in economics from The Pennsylvania State University. He previously worked for Advanced Technology Systems in McLean, Virginia.
Ray Patterson joins OIT as a sales account manager, bringing extensive software sales experience to the company. Patterson has over twelve years of sales experience after working for such companies as XATA, Easy Software, and IDS Scheer. He is a graduate of Rosemont College, where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in business management.
Another new member of the sales team is Doug Hall, who brings over 15 years of technology sales experience to OIT. He previously worked as a regional sales manager for Wausau Financial Systems, selling enterprise content management (ECM) products to financial, utility and government entities. Hall holds a degree from Wright State University in business administration.
