The Need

Many organizations need the ability to link a variety of applications to documents stored within the DocFinity® repository. In most cases, programming would be required in order to accomplish this type of integration. With DocFinity Connect, the process of linking documents to applications is simplified and the need for programming is eliminated.

The DocFinity Solution

DocFinity Connect makes the linking of applications possible through simple configuration. Once it is configured to fit an organization’s specific needs, applications will display the needed data with a keystroke from a configurable hot key. DocFinity Connect also has the ability to hook into Windows forms. It can scrape data from IntraVIEWER, a URL, or applications to DocFinity PowerIndexing. To further improve processing speeds, NT authentication can be configured to circumvent the need for a login.

How It Works

DocFinity Connect can define forms to which the product is connecting and instruct them to extract all data, partial data, or highlighted data from pre-designated fields; it also has the ability to edit forms. For queries, users can pre-select fields on a form from which to grab, and then verify if the data for the query is correct. The query is then ready to use. Users can run IntraVIEWER queries as well as executable queries. Field texts can pre-define the scarping rules and indicate the area on the screen from which the system should start scraping information. The system can also be instructed to scrape only highlighted data. The result: split-second execution of tasks and touch points, enabling your organization to increase processing volumes without adding additional staff.
