THE DOCFINITY SOLUTION

The DocFinity Object Importer allows you to easily bring many different types of files into the DocFinity system. The Importers electronically file the objects appropriately within the cascade filing structure. At the same time, they apply proper user keys for efficient retrieval. DocFinity's Importer module allows your company to easily upgrade from your existing document management system to DocFinity.

HOW IT WORKS

When the DocFinity suite is initially installed, Object Importer can be used in a one-time file conversion to bring all of your stored documents into the system. Additionally, if your organization uses third-party software to capture images and/or create electronic documents, you can use Object Importer to regularly transfer items into the OIT system.
The Object Importer offers two main solutions for importing documents.  The first option is to import documents as batches into the OIT system for further indexing.  The second option is to import and index records into the OIT system directly.  To take advantage of the second option, customers must have capabilities to output/export index-related files in a tab delimited format that can then be handed off to the OIT Object Importer.
