Find your documents immediately
Under a system that is paper-based, one of the most time-consuming parts of the job is locating the documents that you need to process your work efficiently. On a good day, documents might be filed alphabetically in a filing cabinet. On a not-so-good day, they might be on someone’s desk, stored off site, or misfiled.
Electronic access ensures that your documents are available immediately. DocFinity offers a variety of search features to enable users to locate their documents quickly and accurately.
- Category search—lets users select a Document Type and returns a list of all documents of that Document Type.
- Template search—Administrator-defined searches. Users search by entering values for specific metadata or “keywords” in search prompts configured by an Administrator.
- Tree search—Your classic “drill-down” folder search, designed by an Administrator, that displays Metadata Objects as folders arranged in hierarchical order. In the search area, users can expand the folders listed in the Tree View to progressively narrow down the documents for which they are browsing.
- Enterprise search—Offers the ability to query the DocFinity repository for text matches and return result sets accurately for a variety of file formats. Users can locate structured and unstructured data contained within files and other documents. Even more powerful is its ability to combine key word and full text searching.
