HOW IT WORKS

DocFinity® XML FormFLOW uses Web Dynamic Data Exchange (WDDX), a Document Type Definition (DTD) of XML, to manipulate and store data. Using a point-and-click interface, users are led through the process of creating an electronic form from beginning to end. As a user answers questions, a form is built electronically. Information gathered from the forms can be immediately flowed to different departments for processing, resulting in decreased reliance on paper forms, standardization of information submitted in online forms, reduced processing time, and increased consistency. Completed forms are converted to PDF format using Adobe’s Forms Data Format (FDF) for printing.

System administrators have the ability to change the look and layout of forms. Properties such as font style, font size, background color, and text color can all be specified. Administrators can also specify how and what data gets integrated into the system, what workflows are initiated by the completed forms, and with which third-party tables the form integrates. These parameters can be managed and modified by administrators. DocFinity XML FormFLOW also provides a GUI windows designer for creating forms. This feature allows administrators to add custom controls such as headings, text boxes, select boxes, check boxes, radio buttons, and images.
