  • Should it be reallocated if a step requires more than the standard period of time?  Should it be redirected to a specific person or allocated based on workload?

  • Which steps require approvals or signatures?

  • What are the standard exceptions to each step?  How should they be handled, and by whom?

  • Do emails, letters, or other communications need to be generated automatically as a direct result of certain decisions that are made in the process?  If so, by whom?
